Today I change the fluids (oil, antifreeze, and brake fluid) on a 1962 Morris Mini Minor. If you need a brake bleeding vacuum like I am using these are arranged from basic to more professional:
I was out driving my 1966 Austin Mini Cooper S when the car lost all power and coasted to the side of the road. I had to tow it back to the shop and today I diagnose and replace a dead ignition coil.
Racing video from my 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S in the 2012 HVR Showboat Showdown at Motorsports Park Hastings with the HVR. This race was held on Sunday September 9th 2012 during the NASA and HVR race weekend. This was my first time racing my then fairly new to me Cooper S.
This time I fix the diesel filter, add access to the roof, and install all of the 120V and 24V equipment to keep the camper running both on solar power and shore power.
Here are the products used during this part of the build:
I decided to paint the Number 6 Barn Sprite because it looked terrible and needed to painted anyways. What better paint job to give it than one in tribute of one of the most colorful car gals of the 1960s Donna Mae Mims. Mims was the first female driver to win a National SCCA Championships in it’s then 20 year history.
I spent the weekend down at the local off road park in my M35A2 M109A3 overland camper to get the park cleaned up and build new obstacles. I took my Caterpillar D47U Traxcavator down to help out with the heaviest work. After six hours moving rocks and concrete I needed to adjust the clutch in the Cat which turned out to be a very messy job.
I picked up a M109A3 2.5 Ton 6×6 shop van and drive it 235 miles home. These are a rare version of the M35 with a fully enclosed windowed box mounted on the back.
