I decided to paint the Number 6 Barn Sprite because it looked terrible and needed to painted anyways. What better paint job to give it than one in tribute of one of the most colorful car gals of the 1960s Donna Mae Mims. Mims was the first female driver to win a National SCCA Championships in it’s then 20 year history.
I spent the weekend down at the local off road park in my M35A2 M109A3 overland camper to get the park cleaned up and build new obstacles. I took my Caterpillar D47U Traxcavator down to help out with the heaviest work. After six hours moving rocks and concrete I needed to adjust the clutch in the Cat which turned out to be a very messy job.
I picked up a M109A3 2.5 Ton 6×6 shop van and drive it 235 miles home. These are a rare version of the M35 with a fully enclosed windowed box mounted on the back.
Today I take the Number 1 Sprite that I found in a barn a month ago down to the 2020 Heartland British Auto Fest in LeClaire, Iowa.
Today I take a first look at the 1964 Morris Mini Beach Car that I found in a barn which had been parked for more than 30 years.
Today I finally take a look at the barn find Sprite I labeled #2. I clean it out and see if I can get it started without any parts.
Today I update everyone on what I have been doing on my 1955 Caterpillare D4 7U and pull out the old fuel filter to fit new ones.
A few miles from me I found an Austin Healey Sprite that was once owned and raced by Jaguar CEO and President Mike Dale.
Today I take a quick look at what was packed into the Number 5 Austin Healey Sprite barn find.
